Udith Dematagoda is a Scottish writer, academic, editor, and publisher of the avant-garde independent publisher Hyperidean Press.

Primarily a modernist literature scholar, he specializes in the work of Vladimir Nabokov, Wyndham Lewis, Joseph Conrad, 20th Avant-garde movements, the study of Fascist Modernism, the philosophy of Louis Althusser, and Aesthetic Theory.

He is the author of Vladimir Nabokov and the Ideological Aesthetic (2017), and the forthcoming Machine Men, Machine Minds, Machines Hearts: Masculinity, Technology and Fascist Modernities, and editor of a volume of the Collected Works of Wyndham Lewis, Left Wings over Europe, currently in production through Oxford University Press.

He has published one novel Horizontal Rain (2020), and a second titled Agonist, a work of experimental prose fiction about, and by, the internet will be published in May 2024.
